Speaker Bio:

Victoria Cowart, CPM, NAAEI Faculty, is the Vice President of Education at PetScreening and a respected leader in the property management industry. With extensive experience overseeing apartment communities, manufactured housing, and HOAs, she has served as president of both the Charleston Apartment Association and the South Carolina Apartment Association, as well as an NAA Regional Vice President. A South Carolina Apartment Association Hall of Fame inductee, Victoria is a passionate advocate for industry education, fair housing, and assistance animals. She holds the CPM designation, is a certified Fair Housing Specialist, and an Adult Mental Health First Aid Instructor.

This comprehensive, skills-based training is designed to equip you with the knowledge to identify, understand, and effectively respond to mental health and substance use challenges.  Enhancing our understanding of these crucial topics can significantly contribute to a healthier and more supportive work environment.  We are pleased to have Victoria Cowart, CPM, NAAEI Faculty, and a certified Mental Health First Aid instructor, lead this course. With her extensive knowledge and engaging teaching style, Victoria will guide you through the essential components of mental health first aid, ensuring that you feel confident applying these skills in and out of the workplace.

Learn the five-step ALGEE action plan and how to apply it.
Putting MHFA into Practice
Apply the ALGEE action plan to early intervention, worsening symptoms, and crisis situations.

Develop strategies for maintaining your own well-being after assisting someone in need.
