Class Description:     This hands-on, technician-focused class covers the fundamentals of how common multifamily appliances work—and how to safely diagnose, troubleshoot, and decide on the right repair strategy. Attendees will build confidence using electrical concepts (motors, heating circuits, capacitors/relays, resistance and amperage testing) and apply them to real-world service calls for refrigerators (sealed system basics, airflow, defrost, drainage and leak issues, controls/boards, inverter compressors), ice makers (cycles, valves, thermostats/thermistors, modern troubleshooting), dishwashers and disposals (sequence of operation, sensors/safeties, draining/filling/heating problems, proper installation best practices), ranges/ovens (gas and electric diagnostics and safety), washers/dryers (cycle functions, common complaints, preventive maintenance, and when to escalate), and water heaters (tank/tankless/heat pump basics, key components, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair vs. replace guidance).
