Class Description: ESCO Section 608 – Federal Clean Air Act Certification
This two-day course provides a practical, technician-focused overview of Section 608 of the Federal Clean Air Act, the federal regulation governing the handling of refrigerants. Participants will learn why certification is required, what the law covers, and how compliance impacts day-to-day maintenance operations.
Aligned with ESCO Institute certification standards and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency regulations, the class covers refrigerant safety, recovery requirements, leak prevention, recordkeeping expectations, and the consequences of non-compliance. The course concludes with the EPA Section 608 certification exam, allowing participants to test and certify onsite. Designed for real-world application, this session helps protect technicians, residents, and the environment while keeping properties compliant.
This price includes all study materials, the ESCO exam, and the ESCO test grading fee.
